Accomplishments, New Initiatives & Goals
Fiscal Year 2013 Accomplishments
Highlights of the Stormwater Management's accomplishments for the 2013 fiscal year include:
- Completed $812,000 of capital drainage improvement projects including: Shadow Mountain Linda Vista Valley Gutters, Route 66 and Rio de Flag, Skunk Canyon;
- Finished FEMA Flood Insurance Rate Map corrections (last map correction became effective on 11/19/12);
- Completed a hydrologic model for the Bow and Arrow Master Drainage Plan and initiated design contract for proposed improvements;
- Installed an additional streamflow monitoring station;
- Initiated a FEMA elevation certificate project to help remove properties from the floodplain and reduce flood insurance rates;
- Delivered Phase I of the Picture Canyon Meander Restoration Project.
Fiscal Year 2014 New Initiatives & Goals
Some of Stormwater Management's new initiatives and goals for the 2014 fiscal year include:
- Construct over $600,000 worth of capital drainage improvement projects
- Complete 100% plans for Bow and Arrow Wash
- Complete FEMA Elevation Certificate Project
- Successfully deliver Phase II of Picture Canyon
