Floodplain Building Required Information
Elevation Certificate Form
An elevation certificate is required for all new structures in a flood hazard area and is usually required to obtain flood insurance. A registered professional surveyor, engineer, or architect must complete an Elevation Certificate.

Elevation Datum Conversion Information
The Elevation Datum Conversion provides information that can be used to convert elevations given in the National Geodetic Vertical Datum of 1929 (NGVD 29) to the North American Vertical Datum of 1988 (NAVD 88). Floodwater elevations shown on the Letters of Map Revisions and Floodway Boundary and Floodway Maps are NGVD 29. Floodwater elevations on the DFIRMs are NAVD 88.

Floodplain Ordinance
City Ordinance No. 2001-06, Floodplain Management Regulations, describes the restrictions, requirements, and procedures that must be met for any development within a flood hazard area.

Floodplain Use Permit Application Form
Per Ordinance 2001-06, a Floodplain Use Permit is required for most development activities within a flood hazard area. This is the application form needed to obtain a Floodplain Use Permit.

Floodproofing Certificate Form
A floodproofing certificate is required when a non-residential structure that is located in a flood hazard area has been floodproofed in lieu of being elevated. A registered professional engineer or architect must complete the Floodproofing Certificate Form.

Substantial Improvements Information Sheet
The Substantial Improvements Information Sheet describes limitations on making substantial improvements or substantial repairs to structures located within a flood hazard area that do not meet the requirements described in Ordinance 2001-06.
